This is a fun card shared by CTMH.  Using our Art philosophy cricut cartridge, the card AND all the shapes can be cut out in a snap.  This uses our Roxie paper packet!  How fun!!

A little hawaiian RIBBON FUN

I came across this photo today and just had to post it!!  While on the cruise, they held a class each day on different ways to make Hawaiian Lai's.  Today was ribbon Lai's  Using two pieces of ribbon, both 4 feet long, we wove this into a fun Hawaiian lai.  The next day they taught a class using 4 ribbons.  How fun.  You can imagine how many CTMH consultants sat in on this class.  It involved ribbon..... we were there!!!  Even some husbands joined in the fun!!

Ok, I couldnt resist posting another layout today!  This fun layout has some unique techniques.  Notice the bottom two photo squares on righ page both righ and left side.... it is the same photo.  I just dropped the SAME photo into all 4 photo wells.  Enlarged them to 300% and then put them together like a puzzle.  The original photo is the bottom center.  Notice the stitching lines around all 4 of the photos!  this is a new embellishment option that is easily just dropped in and adjusted to size. 

It is just so much fun.....

Here is another fun layout.  These kids also live out of state.  They send me photos from time to time digitally and it takes just minutes to put them onto lovely layouts using Studio J.  I still love traditional scrapbooking, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE studio J

Another fun Layout

Did you know with Studio J you can CHANGE THE PAPER and change the color even though it is all done digital?  Yep, this layout was made using our Crusin' pack of paper.  I switched the roadmap paper to cranberry cardstock and it changed the whole look and feel.  I was able to put our grandaughters Show choir photos on and change it up how I wanted to.  I would love to help you with your layouts.  contact me if you have any questions.  scrapwithchrishill@gmail.com

Faster, Simpler, Easier, DARLING!!!

I LOVE scrapbooking my grandkids with our Studio J online scrapbooking!  It is so fast and easy.  My daughter sent me these photos the other night (we dont live in the same state) and within minutes I created this layout with Studio J.  It is ordered and on its way to me!  Such a fun addition to our Grandkids album!!  Isnt she a doll!!!

What to do with all this.......

Have you ever finished a scrapbook and still have lots of odds and ends that you really want to save, but they just dont work on a layout?  Why not try making a pocket page for your last page of any album.  Put all the fun cards, tags, tickets, etc in that pocket.  Easy to look and and reminise time and time again, all in one tidy place. 

Make your own Pattern!!

Have you ever tried making a new and different pattern from a piece of patterned paper!  Try this technique that Close to My Heart shared.  Stamp with one of our see through My Acrylix stamps onto your favorite patterned paper (this paper is from our Elemental paper pack) Get it here

Vacation in PaRaDiSe!!!

Our FABuLOUS 10 day vacation aboard the cruise ship Pride of America included MANY other consultants.!   There were 5 gals from my team on the trip.  (above) Amy, Tina, Me and louise.  (margi pictured below)  We earned the trip with Close to my Heart, doing what we love!!!!  Scrapbooking and sharing that passion with all of you! 

 At our Close to my Heart Opening reception on the ship, they welcomed us with another lei.  This one was fresh orchids.  I think I could learn to LOVE wearing these everyday.  They recognized those who were there on their first cruise, and those who had cruised the most with Close to my Heart.  My downline Margi and I shared that honor having earned 12 trips with Close to my Heart.  So many fun memories on those 12 fabulous trips. This was our 2nd trip to Hawaii.  We have been on several to the different parts of the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Europe, New Zealand, Alaska and more.....  It is so awesome that EVERY consultant has the opportunity to earn these trips. 
Below is a picture of all the consultants who were on this cruise from Close to my Heart.  Add family to this picture and you have a good portion of the ship being Close to my Heart friends.

Thank you Close to my heart for a Fabulous Hawaiian vacation with my sweatheart!  Each year all consultants are given the opportunity to earn an all expense paid trip to an exotic destination.  This year it was a Hawaiian cruse!  We flew to Honolulu and stayed a night in a fabulous hotel right off Wikiki beach.  The following day, we set sail on the cruise liner PRIDE OF AMERICA   This is a veiw from our balcony suite as we are pulling out of Honolulu!  Although it rained EVERYDAY we were on the cruise, it was still fabulous

 

We attended an authentic Luau complete with the roasted pig in the pit (I will spare you the photos taken of that..... interesting but not real appealing)  The food was fabulous, the company was excellent, the entertainment was fantastic.  There were about 50 consultants and their guests and families at the luau with us!   It was an all you could eat buffet but believe me, one time through was more than all you could eat!  We were greated at the gate with these fun lai's and treated like royalty.   

Hawaii is known for their SHAVE ICE!  We had NO idea they came so large.  This was a medium size.  They form it into a hard packed ball.  Ice cream goes into the middle if you choose!  LOTS of shave ice!  It goes into this cute little cup then you choose your flavors.  They top it with a sweet and condensed milk mixture.  Who knew ice could tast so good!

Cheaper by the Dozen

We had a great time today at our 'cheaper by the dozen' workshop.  Todays workshop was organized by those fundrasing for Backback Buddies!!  (A non profit organization rasing funds to help send unfortunate children home for the weekends with FOOD to eat.  They are sent home with meals for the weekend so they dont go hungry!)   We made some fun layouts!  Thanks to all who participated!

Distress a little.....

Have you ever distressed our cardstock?  It has a white core, so you can can sand, emboss, distress, and edge our cardstock.  This fantastic card made by one of my team member has been dry embossed (the lines on the sunset colored paper)  Once the lines are made turn it over and sand it off lightly.  Voila...... some fun distressed lines.

Cricut Fun

Whew..... I think I have been a little busy.  I have not had a chance to post on here since DECEMBER.  What have I been doing.....  Well, we have been doing some remodeling and home improvements, which takes up about every waking hour..... But that is coming to a close and we are finished!!  Love the results.
